anyone know how to keep a 2 year old in a toddler bed in his room? this guy will not stay in there. if i didn’t have a 2 month old, i’d just stay with him, but i do, so i can’t just hang out. she kinda needs me. i’m gonna string him up by his toes and tickle him to death.

We were having problems keeping the little guy in his room. But Troy started a routine with him one night (book, prayer, etc…) and then told him he’d be back every couple minutes to check on him. Just knowing he’d be peeking his head in the door kept the little guy in bed and made him feel safer, I suppose. Not sure if that was what did it – or if it was just a matter of timing & luck…but it worked for us. Good luck!

I bought one of those Fisher Price crib aquariums and attached it to his bed rail. I would hear him through the monitoring turning it on over and over again, and he eventually drifted off.

This is different for everyone. But you could just accept the fact that he’ll roam around the room and eventually get back into bed when he’s tired. You could also try to get him really tired during the day and push back his bedtime so he’ll fall asleep shortly after getting into bed. I’d probably just go with a combination of the two and not worry about it too much. But then I gave up (on pretty much everything) a year ago…

I put the cookie recipe up. (Not that they will keep a toddler in the bedroom; rather they will be drawn to the kitchen.) If you make them, let me know what you think.
