(all items crossed out have since been finished.)
well, miss james is now sick and even more attached to us than normal which makes it quite difficult to get the rest of my presents done. i have finished almost everything, including a bow tie i made for the boy today. that’s the only thing i’ve made for him so far. daddyjay is working on a
train table. he’s also in charge of the hanukkah gifts for his parents and sister. (nope – i’m not telling.) those are due tomorrow since we’re starting the festivities then.
back to the dude – i’ve got to make 2 shirts for him. one with his initial,
one with a sousaphone. i also need to make some sweats, a stick horse and a robot cuddly. those will all be pretty quick. he is convinced he’s getting power tools from santa. we’ll see if santa comes through. i’m not sure yet if he understands the concept of christmas and santa and, well, i know he knows about presents. we imagine he’ll totally flip out when he sees the loot.
the big girls have sweatpants (to say they love sweats is an understatement,) fancy skirts, shirts with an initial, pj pants, a chore chart, and hanging bed organizers. i’d like to make a couple of
headbands for them and if i have time, i’ll whip out another skirt for them.
miss james is clueless, but she is getting gifts. a pair of sweats to match her sisters, a
teether, and a black apple doll. the only thing made is the sweats and the doll is only if i get to it. (it ain’t gonna happen.)
all of the grey sweat will be embellished with a freezer paper stencil of the child’s choosing. i’m making them all length adjustable, so when they grow, i can just let out the hem a bit until they completely out-grow them. it’ll be fun to see what they all want to paint on their pants. i’ll have them help pick out the shape and paint color. i may even let the girls help me with the painting.
other gifts done are my maw maw b’s pillows and nieces stuff. now to finish up for my
sister, mom, and sister-in-law.
like i said, not enough time in the day.
pictures to follow.
