my very first quilt

22 Apr

well, here it is. my first quilt i have made start to finish:

1st quilt

the back:
1st quilt - back

and the binding:
1st quilt - binding

i made it for justice’s preschool silent auction, which is this saturday.

it’s a lap quilt & i forgot to measure it.

the tshirts are from his preschool and the camp run at the preschool.

the polka dot fabric is an old sheet set that belonged to my grandparents. i still have more left and thought it was perfect for this.

i did vertical stripes for the quilting and think it looks pretty swell.

the binding is some random fabric i found on sale at my local fabric shop.

now to move on to the king-sized tshirt quilt. of course, it’s already packed now, so it will have to wait until arizona.

*i’ve added my quilt to the 1st bloggers quilt festival hosted by amy of park city girl. there are over 500 entries. i’ve seen some pretty amazing stuff over there and am inspired to just get better.
