treasures found, pt. 2

when we went to california i had the chance to get a ton of sewing notions from grandma dot. she was a pretty good seamstress from what i hear, so she has a ton of stuff. a quick list of all i gathered. the one thing i wanted the most i forgot to put in my bag was pattern weights. ah, well. next time.

-various elastic
-tons of snaps & a snap putter-on-er (what is that called? a snap gun?)
-an adorable pack of embroidered appliques
-button, button, who’s got the button? me!
-fusible interfacing
-empty wooden thread spools
-ric rac
-bias tape
-seam binding
-cute iron-on patches from the 70’s
-twill tape
-hook & eye closures
-belt buckles
-a fabulous gold snake belt
-juki accessories that go with the serger she gave me a few years ago
-machine needles
-tons of beautiful pins (i always buy the cheapo ones)
-and loads of thread, including this beautiful gold necchi thread that i will never bring myself to use.

and omf, my sewing machine is broken. i have to drag it 30 minutes to the nearest babylock dealer.

    Very cool!! It’s called a snap press. I may have to come over and borrow it one of these days.
