my view on the debacle of the representative from the state south of north carolina is simple. he was a disrespectful ass.
calling the president a liar isn’t the worst thing in the world, no. BUT during a speech with the joint houses of congress is not the place to do it.
that’s like calling your preacher a liar during a sermon. on sunday morning.
would that be okay? because i can guarantee you that not every congregant believes every single thing they hear from the pulpit.
and people calling foul because it was done before? not true. bush was called a liar and much worse during his tenure, but i respected him as the one our
supreme court country chose as president.
and i don’t recall any jerk calling him out in the senate.
