highs & lows

16 Sep

i usually ask the girls what their favorite part of the day was when i cuddle them at night. lately, i’ve been asking, instead, to give me their highs and lows.

their highs usually include “going to china for a midnight snack” (lunch) and swimming. lows usually have to do with some grievance paid upon them by their brother, which is wild because he really is a sweet boy. their days don’t

without further ado, some of my recent highs and lows.

highs

-the smell of the new dish soap by bright green
-that my girls have decide swim team is worthy of trying out (& they love it!)
-that the boy likes to pretend he’s a kitty cat
-that the boy looooves “fire burning” by sean kingston & sings it all. the. time.
-miss james loves dough of any kind & just brought me one of her tiny bowls to put some pinches in for her
-she also meows when i say cat or when she sees a cat.

lows

-when the kids don’t play nicely
-when the boy pees on the floor on purpose when he’s mad
-when jamison gets up at 4:30 – 5:30 am, naps at 9:30 & is up by 11:30. makes for a long afternoon.
-oh…and the zits i’ve gathered since moving here. hello? i’m 32. time to go away.

that’s all i’ve got. more highs than lows make for a happy mama.

and there’s this:

i'm flying!

and this:

sherriff's in town

this one:

look at her legs

and i’d never forget her:

hanging a monkey

they make it all soar.

how about you? ups/downs? highs/lows?
